Umrah of the Longing” Project Concludes Successfully, Strengthening Youth Empowerment and Jerusalem–Makkah Partnership

Qudsona Foundation for Empowerment and Development has concluded the “Umrah of the Longing” project, supported by the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, in partnership with the Makkah Municipality and Muzn Al-Sanoud Company for Umrah Services.

The project included participation from Al-Quds University, the Arab Institute in Abu Dis, Hilal Al-Quds Club, and Silwan Club. It featured an educational and cultural camp alongside the performance of Umrah rituals. Participants included students from the Faculty of Da‘wah and Fundamentals of Religion, as well as Qur’an memorizers from the Arab Institute. The project also included a cultural and sports camp with the participation of youth teams from Hilal Al-Quds and Silwan clubs.

The program further included sports training sessions at King Abdulaziz Sports City, a friendly football match with Al-Wehda Club, a visit to Umm Al-Qura University, as well as visits to religious landmarks and museums in Makkah.

For his part, Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, Chairman of the Board of Qudsona Foundation, expressed his sincere gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Makkah Municipality, and Muzn Al-Sanoud Company for their tremendous efforts in making this distinguished project a success.

Prof. Abu Kishek added that this project aligns with Qudsona Foundation’s vision of building and empowering youth and enhancing their skills and experiences.

In a joint statement, the participating Jerusalem institutions expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—and to all supporters and contributors to this project. They affirmed their pride and deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s historic and ongoing positions, from the era of the founding King Abdulaziz to the present day, and commended Saudi Arabia’s continuous support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
