Under the slogan, Jerusalem celebrates its creators, Qudsona Endowment and the Directorate of Education honor the top students in Jerusalem in high school “Tawjeehi”

Qudsona Endowment Foundation and the Directorate of Education in the city of Jerusalem have organized a celebration to honor the top high school students Tawjeehi , under the slogan “Jerusalem celebrates its innovators,” in the presence of Munib Rashid Al-Masry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment, Bishop Munib Younan, and Prof. Imad Abu Kishk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation , Samir Jibril, Director of Education, Rasim Obaidat, Magdy Zaghir, and a number of school principals and teachers and their families.

The student program began with an orientation lecture presented by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Khoja in the field of excellence, creativity and life skills, followed by a group visit to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, then having lunch and honoring the students in a distinguished celebration that began with standing to the tunes of the Palestinian national anthem and a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs.

Then Munib Rashid Al-Masry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment, spoke, congratulating the students and their families on their success and excellence, addressing the students that their success and excellence are the path towards change and building a better future.

Al-Masry addressed the audience that the Palestinian cause is subject to a large conspiracy that began since the ill-fated Balfour Declaration and aims to liquidate it and destroy the national project, and this requires cohesion, awareness and steadfastness to protect the land. He directed his greetings to the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, who is still being subjected to harassment and arrests, considering his steadfastness as a message of defiance and survival in the eternal capital.

Al-Masry added: Yesterday, Nablus was honoring Al-Quds University for obtaining a five-star rating, and today we came from Nablus to honor Jerusalem’s pioneers and innovators, and this is a message about the excellence and creativity of Jerusalemites.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishk congratulated the students and their families on this distinction and creativity, addressing the students as the elite that he is betting on for the sake of change and building the nation. Dr. Abu Kishk gave his advice to the students on how to choose the university major, and how to excel and be creative.

Dr. Abu Kishk praised the efforts of Munib Rashid Al-Masry, who transformed working for Jerusalem from a slogan into a plan, program and continuous efforts that he is making. Dr. Abu Kishk stressed that the Qudsona Endowment Foundation will spare no effort in supporting and assisting Jerusalemite students, as the Foundation provides hundreds of scholarships annually.

In turn, Bishop Munib Younan congratulated the students and their families, considering this achievement an achievement for Jerusalem and this superiority as an advantage for Jerusalem, and that Jerusalem today truly celebrates its innovators. He thanked the Qudsona Foundation and the Directorate of Education for this necessary gesture towards the pioneers of Jerusalem. In his speech, Rasem Obaidat spoke on behalf of the National and Civil Work Authority regarding the challenges and dangers facing education in the city of Jerusalem, appreciating and congratulating the students on their graduation from the Palestinian high school exam, stressing the importance of protecting and fortifying education in the city of Jerusalem from attempts by Israelization.

The speech of the Directorate of Education was delivered by the Director of Education, Mr. Samir Gabriel, congratulating the students and their families on this distinction and thanked Qudsona Foundation for its efforts in supporting education in the city of Jerusalem, expressing his pride in the partnership with Qudsona Endowment Foundation in honoring the top high school students. Gabriel informed about education in the city of Jerusalem and the directorate’s efforts to improve its quality and raise the level of students, praising the results of Jerusalem schools in the high school exams.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the pioneers of Jerusalem were honored in all branches of science, literature, industrial, commercial, hotel, home economics, and Sharia. The pioneers of the branches were also honored with computers provided by Majdi Zaghir, Ratib Al-Maslamani, and Harbi Abu Shamsiyya, in addition to certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.
