The Qudsona Charitable Foundation" honours Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Rahman Al Thani and launches the "Quds Markets" platform

Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, President of the Board of Trustees of the "Qudsona Charitable Foundation," the "Quds Markets" platform was launched by the Quds Endowment Fund in partnership with Al-Quds University and the Bab Al-Asbat Youth Company.

This took place during an event that honoured the guest of Palestine, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani. The event was attended by Monib Rashid Al-Masri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Quds Endowment Fund, Amin Sarour, Secretary of the Quds Endowment Fund, Dr. Imad Abu Kashk, and various Palestinian dignitaries and figures.

During his speech, Dr. Abu Kashk stated that it is an honour for Al-Quds University and the Quds Endowment Fund to honour a man of goodwill who loves Jerusalem and its people, a leader in humanitarian work, an ambassador for Jerusalem and its university to the Arab and Islamic world. He emphasised the continuous and sincere efforts of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani.

Monib Al-Masri praised the charitable and humanitarian work carried out by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani in Palestine and Jerusalem, welcoming his visit to Palestine and presence at Al-Quds University. He noted that Sheikh Abdulaziz's efforts align with the initiatives of Qatar and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who spares no effort in supporting the Palestinian cause.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Thani affirmed that Qatar has been and remains a supporter of global humanitarian initiatives, stating that they are gathered there to emphasise that Jerusalem is the primary cause in the hearts of the entire Arab and Islamic nation.

He emphasised Qatar's support for Palestine and its people, stressing that Palestine needs support in all aspects to confront Israeli occupation. This aligns with the vision of the Qudsona Charitable Foundation, which seeks to achieve this goal. He also mentioned his efforts to support Palestinian youth in their educational journeys and to engage them in leadership training programs.

Furthermore, the event included discussions about the launch of the "Quds Markets" e-commerce platform, "From Jerusalem to the World." The platform aims to improve the economic situation in the Old City of Jerusalem, spread Palestinian culture and religion to the world, and export Palestinian products to global markets.

The program included several key tracks as part of its economic empowerment initiative, including providing interest-free loans to traders, grants for select businesses, revitalising the markets of the Old City, and promoting commercial activities through events like "Yalla Ala Balad" (Let's Go to the City). The "Quds Markets" platform is the result of funding from the Monib and Angela Al-Masri Foundation and businessman Munir Al-Kaloti, as part of an economic empowerment program to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
