Qudsona Endowment completes the restoration of 17 homes in Jerusalem
Jerusalem - “Qudsona Endowment” Foundation concluded the project to restore 17 homes in the city of Jerusalem, as part of the humanitarian aid program “Project to Improve Housing Conditions” that the Foundation is implementing for the year 2022-2023 for the eighth year in a row.
Qudsona Endowment announced that the project targeted homes suffering from hard conditions and unfit for habitation, especially in the Old City, Silwan, Wadi Al-Jouz, and Sheikh Jarrah.
Program Director Amir Maragheh said, "Our mission is to contribute to supporting the steadfastness of the city of Jerusalem and strengthening the presence of its people within the Holy City by restoring their old homes as well as empowering poor Jerusalemite families who live in poor and unsanitary housing conditions."
Maragha pointed out that the project included the restoration and finishing of these homes with the aim of improving the housing conditions of these families, to make them suitable for human living and to preserve the families’ dignity, pointing out that “the old buildings in the city of Jerusalem, especially the homes located inside the Old City, always need restoration, and this is the majority of our interventions.
