Qudsna Endowment Fund concludes the "Ramadan Goodness and Empowerment" campaign for the eighth year in a row

Qudsuna Endowment Fund has finished the Good Days Program within the eighth “Ramadan Goodness and Empowerment” campaign, in partnership with Jerusalem Governorate, local councils, and civil society organizations, the campaign included many projects, sponsoring students, restoring homes, distributing food baskets, supporting merchants, distributing Eid sweets, and sponsorship for needy families. More than 35,000 Jerusalemites benefited from the program.

The program included organizing Iftars, Suhoors and Ramadan evenings in the city of Jerusalem, supporting the Qalandia camp hospice and the Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari hospice in Biddu town, moreover it included distributing more than 2,000 food parcels, 900 kilos of Eid sweets, renovating 10 houses, supporting 5 shops, and greeting more than 100 families. And providing partial scholarships to more than 200 Jerusalemite university students, sponsorships for orphans and needy families, moreover sponsorships for debtors, in addition to lighting the area of ​​​​Nabi Samuel for Ramadan season, additionally organizing volunteer work days in cemeteries and mosques.

This year, the program was distinguished by its coverage of all the towns and villages of Jerusalem Governorate, in full partnership with the Jerusalem Governorate, municipalities, and many civil society organizations, by allocating a day for each region with the participation of more than 200 volunteers.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qudsuna Endowment Fund, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, stated: "We, in the Qudsuna Foundation, were keen to reach every area and camp in Jerusalem with the participation of hundreds of male and female volunteers to support and empower needy and poor families in the blessed month of Ramadan."

He added, "We are happy that our campaign has been crowned with success, and that such humanitarian initiatives drew a smile on the faces of the needy families," stressing that "the Fund has taken it upon itself to do everything in its power to support the various sectors in the city of Jerusalem to face the economic challenges facing our Palestinian people."

Whereas, Eng. Munib Rashid Al-Masry, Chairman of the Munib Al-Masry Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment, one of the institutions supporting the Qudsna Endowment Fund, stated that "Supporting Jerusalem is a national and religious duty that must be adhered to and strengthened, which contributes to strengthening the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and protecting the Holy City."

Al-Masry expressed his pride in the partnership of the Mounib and Angela Al-Masry Foundation and the partnership and support of Qudsuna Fund and the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment, praising the work of the Foundation and its projects in the city of Jerusalem.

The head of the Youth Committee in the Old City, Nasser Qaws, praised the efforts of Qudsuna Fund and its important role in the city of Jerusalem, and its keenness to be present in the Old City, pointing out that the Qudsuna has proven over the years that it is one of the most important Jerusalem institutions, which has a prominent role in empowering people and building the institution.

For his part, Sheikh Najeh Bakirat, a member of the Board of Trustees of Qudsuna Fund and Endowment and one of the supervisors of the campaign, affirmed, “Qudsona has lived in Jerusalem in reality and in fact, and produced a generation in Jerusalem. In order to empower the Jerusalemites, this is our Jerusalem, which we are proud of and cherish, and we ask all supporting institutions to make Jerusalem their address.

Hadeel Ziyadah, a social worker at the Al-Bustan Association in Silwan, stressed the importance of the support provided by endowment Quds to the association, whose services benefit 11,000 beneficiaries annually, stressing that this support works to enhance steadfastness and establish our presence and identity on the land of Jerusalem.

The official of the popular and national institutions in the Qalandia refugee camp, Zakaria Fialeh, stressed the importance of distributing the aid provided by the Qudsna Foundation and the people's need for it in light of the high unemployment rate in the camp.

The head of Kafr Aqab municipality, Imad Awad, said, "For the eighth year in a row, Qudsna, in partnership with the Jerusalem Governorate and the Kafr Aqab municipality, distributed food baskets to poor families."

The head of the Abu Dis municipality, Abdul Salam Ayad, said, "Qudsona Foundation has carried out several activities in the town, the most important of which is the distribution of parcels to needy families, the restoration of a house, and the establishment of a Ramadan evening."

A member of the Nabi Samuel village council, Ramzi Barakat, said that "Qudsona Fund is in constant contact with the besieged and targeted village, as it provided parcels and food baskets in order to strengthen the steadfastness of the Jerusalemite citizen on his land."

"The town is besieged by the apartheid wall and military checkpoints, with a population of 12,500 people, and its residents suffer from difficult social, economic and political conditions," said Issa Jaafar, head of the Ash-Sawahra al-Sharqiya municipality.

As for the head of the village council, Sheikh Saad Jamal Zuaiter, he said, "The village was separated from the town of Jabal al-Mukabber by the apartheid wall, and its population of about four thousand people suffers from difficult economic conditions."

For her part, the head of the women's center in Shuafat camp, Jihad Abu Zneid, said, "For several years, we have been distributing parcels, meals, and Eid clothing to needy families in the camp, in partnership with Qudsona Fund, with the aim of strengthening the steadfastness of Jerusalemites."

The Deputy Mayor of Al-Eizariya Municipality, Jamal Basah, valued the efforts of the Qudsna Endowment for its support for the people of Al-Eizariya and for providing food parcels to needy families during the holy month of Ramadan.

For his part, the Mayor of Biddu and the head of a group of villages northwest of Jerusalem, Salem Abu Eid, said, "We received 200 food parcels from Qudsana Fund to distribute them to 16 villages to needy families, in addition to distributing more than 400 breakfast meals through Tkiyet Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari."

Maher Hussein Abu Al-Hawa, head of the Mount of Olives Club in the town of Al-Tur, said, "Food baskets were distributed to the needy, in addition to organizing a Ramadan evening at the Salman Al-Farsi Mosque, with the aim of reviving the Palestinian Islamic heritage."

In the Old City, Jerusalemite activist Ahed Al-Rishq said, "Food parcels were distributed to needy families to help relieving them of the difficult economic burdens in the holy month of Ramadan."

In the besieged village of Al-Issawiya, Muhammad Abu Al-Hummus, a member of the follow-up committee, said, " Qudona Fund distributed food baskets to poor families, and some houses that need restoration were visited."

For his part, Zuhair al-Rajabi, the official of the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood committee in Silwan, said, "Qudsona Fund has contributed to the restoration of one of the houses in the neighborhood, which is located next to one of the houses that the settlers seized."

The head of Jaba' village council, Sami Tuan, expressed his hope that Qudsona will continue in giving so that we can reach every poor family in the village.

For his part, the head of the municipality of Hizma, Nofan Salah El-Din, said, "We received food parcels, and we hope to develop the relationship with Qudsona to meet the needy needs of the people."

Amir Maragheh, manager of the Humanitarian Aid Program at Qudsuna Endowment, said, "At the end of Ramadan and Empowerment Campaign, Qudsuna Endowment distributed Eid sweets to needy families in all areas of Jerusalem Governorate."
